Hi Thanks for sharing your info and excitement. I'm considering an HR in due course. I'm interested in your choice of a series drogue and was wondering whether the stern cleats are adequate or whether the factory should fit additional attachement points. I agree with not fitting a sat phone...one might as well have it loose and avoid making temporary mountings which will probably be out of date very soon.
Have you considered fitting a forward looking sonar (eg echopilot which looks 200m ahead) to reduce risk of grounding when exploring?
